Blues Funeral is the seventh studio album by Mark Lanegan, released on February 6, 2012. Blending his signature dark, gravelly vocals with a more expansive and experimental sound, the album incorporates elements of blues, rock, and electronic music. Produced by Alain Johannes, it features contributions from Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Greg Dulli (The Afghan Whigs), and Jack Irons (ex-Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers). The album is atmospheric and haunting, filled with Lanegan’s brooding lyricism and deep, hypnotic grooves.
