Sampha – Lahai

Sampha’s sophomore album, LAHAI, released on October 20, 2023, marks his return after a six-year hiatus since his debut, Process. The album’s title pays tribute to his paternal grandfather and also serves as Sampha’s middle name. LAHAI intricately weaves elements of jazz, soul, rap, dance, jungle, and West African music, reflecting Sampha’s versatility as a singer, songwriter, and producer. The 14-track collection delves into themes of self-discovery, relationships, and the human experience, featuring collaborations with artists like Yaeji, Léa Sen, and Ibeyi.
